It's been a while. I've been busy with work, but got a chance to paint this one out for my lady.

Jewelry Logo Design

I've been doing quite a few graphic design projects lately. This one was for the House of Jewelry. I first did thumbnails by hand and got feedback. They wanted a more famine style so made my designs more rounded rather then angular. Next I took some of the better logos and modified them in Photoshop(which is seen above). The final logo Incorporated the ring acting as a roof for the house, while the H's negative space provided a door.

Finished a CD cover for Bay Area hip hop artist B. Nobil. We worked on this back and forth for the last few weeks trying to find an idea that worked. "Organic Hip Hop" is the title of the album so I incorporated lots of vegetation, roots, and dirt. Should be a hit!

Wicked

I went to the musical "Wicked" the other night with my girlfriend and got inspired to do a character out of the play. Dr. Dillamond was a teacher at the univeristiy where the wicked witch of the west went. I really don't like musicals, but I must say I would have to give this play two thumbs up. I used mostly photo's and textures to create this effect.

Gypsy's Edge

A video game concept for a mind sharping board game that involves answering questions from rock formations on the side of dangerous cliffs. Answer it correctly and move on till you reach your totem of zen. Answer it wrong and your stable path will give way beneath your feet. Questions get progressively harder as the game moves on. Live on the edge in Antarctica, Hawaii, Big Sur, Everest, and many more.

For the past few days I've been working on a CD cover for a local hip hop artist. The CD is called "Organic Hip-Hip". I started by sitting down with the artist and brainstorming some ideas

of where he wanted to take the album cover. I then did some thumbnails sketches and got Internet reference on the subject. A photo shoot was scheduled to take a picture of his hand holding the mic. There's nothing better than taking your own photo's not only for copyright purposes, but you also get exactly what your looking for. This is the first pass at this cover. I hope he likes it.

I-Phone Game

I can't but help to feel stressed out at times, and this is a tribute to that. There are good feelings though, but they always seem to be layered inbetween all the bad emotions.

These Images were done for Darrell Woodard an assistant director for the Movie "Ray" with Jamie Fox. This was his screen play about a son who lost his father. Can't tell you much more until the movie gets ok'ed.

B.Nobil

I've been doing some freelance work for a music artist named B.Nobil. His music falls into the genre of underground hip hop. I had the idea of creating a city scape that formed his name while also combining the equilibrium balance of a boom box. He seems to like!

3-D Rendering done by a modeler. I finished it in photoshop by adding photo's, using levels, color balance, and some magic.

Friends

I have a weird sense of humor (as my friends tell me). You almost have to be weird to be an artist, or how else would we come up with new ideas. As a Designer you have to court social discomfort and stare awkward moments back in there face.

I tend to make up nicknames for all my friends and here a few images I did of them. Done on 3 by 3 inch wood cuts using acrylic and mixed media.

Stan Winston studios are trying to make a movie involving a very mean Bigfoot.This is my Bigfoot concept. A mean mo-fo Bigfoot about 7-8 feet tall 400 lbs.
